Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background matters. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, the breadth is solid.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after using both.
FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently coming. That would make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
This is where this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But factor into how you think about it.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you commit.
